Moreover, the sponsor family has been taken to visit the village where the children families live. The first scholar child lives in a house that has been used as the community sewing center in which her mother is the sewing teacher and the girl also learn how to sew. The second scholar lives with her elderly grandparents while her parents have been away.

COERR and Enfants du Mekong have been implementing the sponsorship for poor Thai children since 2005. Under the program, the poor and needy children were proposed and selected to receive monthly allowance that enable them to continue their schooling without obstruction. At present, the number of children receiving monthly grants are nearly 150.

In addition to giving allowance, the sponsor, from time to time, do travel to Thailand to visit these children to provide moral support. For the children, the visit of their sponsors is an opportunity to open their world as well as to exchange culture and tradition of their community to the visitors from other countries as well.
